Billy Goat Bluffs
Billy Goat is a newer trail located behind the Tim Horton's. It's 2.5km up, with a beautiful view of the valley. Its a 100m elevation gain with some pretty steep sections, but with options to take newer switch backs or stick to the OG trail. There are markers and benches along the way and some picnic benches for your victory snack at the top.
Arguably the most popular hike in the Creston Valley. Balancing rock is a short and sweet hike with big reward. Get an early start to experience a gorgeous sunrise with a view of the valley. Its a 3.4km round trip, and located just beside the Wild Life Center. You can stop at the Rock, and enjoy your success from there, or continue on into fern forest where there's a few more options to push yourself, including a waterfall!
This gem of a hike isn't included on the Trails Society's website. But can be found here. A favorite among the local hikers. Glider's point (or Thompson Hang Glider) is 3.3km and starts 1.5km into the Sullivan Creek Trail. There's a campsite at the top, and the option to continue on to the top of Mt. Thompson. This trail had a spectacular view of the valley, one of our personal favorites.
